HALO Protection uses blockchain and IoT to strengthen food supply chain security and traceability.
Food safety and product traceability are today essential to guaranteeing production quality and consumer trust. Agri-food supply chains involve numerous stakeholders and complex production processes, in which it is essential to accurately monitor processing, storage and distribution conditions.
The HALO Protection project was created to develop innovative technological solutions for controlling and certifying production processes in the food sector, integrating IoT and blockchain technologies to monitor processing activities and ensure secure, immutable data recording.
Monitoring production processes and preventing risks
The platform collects data from IoT devices installed in production areas and on processing equipment, monitoring parameters relevant to food safety and HACCP compliance. The information is recorded on blockchain infrastructures, ensuring integrity, traceability and verifiability of data throughout the entire production chain.
