A turnaround in e-Justice efficiency through the reengineering of a legacy application.
Need
In 2023, the Unified Patent Court (UPC) made history as the world’s first digital-by-design international court. To power its vision, the UPC needed a secure, multilingual, and scalable digital ecosystem capable of managing every stage of judicial proceedings and connecting thousands of users across Europe.
Solution
We reengineered GiuDiCo by developing the Magistrate Desk (Desk del Magistrato), a personal workspace that enables judges to independently manage their activities within a single digital environment, consulting and updating case files, preparing legal documents and applying digital signatures.
We also introduced automation tools based on Azure DevOps to simplify verification processes, improve software quality and accelerate the release of new functionalities.
