Need
CINECA develops and manages information systems for universities, research institutions and the Public Administration. To ensure operational continuity and support the evolution of university services, it was necessary to modernise a broad set of applications covering teaching, student management, HR, accounting and administrative processes.
The variety of technologies and modules required a structured approach capable of improving system integration, simplifying maintenance and adapting applications to new organisational and regulatory requirements.
Solution
We supported CINECA in the evolution of its application ecosystem through corrective and evolutionary maintenance, new module development, re-engineering of existing components and integration with systems already in use across universities. Our work covered the main areas of university management: teaching and student services, Language Centres, e-procurement, HR, payroll, accounting, business travel, compensation, appointments, doctoral programmes and calls for applications. We also delivered new functionalities and improved interoperability between platforms, adopting modern technologies and a modular approach oriented towards service continuity.
