ITALIAN National Bar Council

Digitalising the entire lifecycle of second-degree jurisdictional proceedings

Need

The National Bar Council (CNF), which performs judicial functions within the framework of the legal profession, needed to modernize the management of second-instance proceedings by overcoming fragmented, heavily paper-based processes.

It required a secure and integrated digital ecosystem capable of coordinating legal professionals, administrative offices, and adjudicating bodies, while ensuring traceability, deadline control, operational continuity, and long-term preservation of case documents.

Solution

We designed and developed an integrated Judicial Case Management system to support the end-to-end management of second-instance judicial proceedings. Authorized professionals can file appeals and documents through secure digital channels. Administrative offices and adjudicating bodies have access to integrated tools for registration, case review, assignment, hearing scheduling, case file handling, and deliberation management. The system also supports the drafting, signing, and publication of decisions, the automatic generation of procedural documents, certified notifications, and digital preservation. Every operation is recorded in a centralized digital case file, ensuring consistency and full verifiability throughout the entire proceeding.
